Well well well. Here it is, the
updated version of the original skypephone from 3 - the WP S2. Having spent a
long time with the original skypephone from 3, the new WP-S2 was always going to
have a soft spot in my head. But it still had to live up to its predecessor in
capability. And it does! It smashes it out of the water, moving to a 3.2 mega
pixel camera for all those quality moments that you want to keep, just as an
example. With an internal memory of 50Mb, and an expandable memory using a micro
SD card of up to 4Gb, the phone has good capacity on storage of the photos,
videos and music too. The WP-S2 internal technology has leaped forward because
as well as supporting a whole host of sound and video playback formats, the new
WP-S2 has a built in HSDPA modem with a download link of up to 3.6Mbps which
means that the phone can double up as a laptop modem instead of having to own a
separate a "dongle." In terms of navigating through the handset, the menu is
simple to use, and the phone also has its own special switcher key which allows
you to get to other applications quicker. Besides being a simple phone the WP-S2
has Skype, Facebook, and Windows Live Messenger integrated in it allowing you to
get in touch whichever way you like, and the inclusive allowances are fantastic
to encourage the use of these on the move. With all this technology built you
would expect the phone to be a brick, however with dimensions of W45mm x D14mm x
H102mm. the new WP-S2 skypephone from 3 - is a definite snazzy winner for the
every day phone user.
